As a victim of childhood abuse, Les found an outlet in sports and had dreams of becoming a wealthy superstar in the major leagues. With a staunch determination and strong work ethic, he achieved great success on the field, eventually earning his way onto a major league roster with the Kansas City Royals…..
“I’ve known Les almost 20 years since our playing days in Cleveland. Les is a man of many gifts… baseball player, teacher, speaker, communicator, motivator, friend, husband, and dad.
A man of character God has used to impact so many.”
Each time I have shared a speaking engagement with Les whether in person or on the radio I have come away with such a great feeling. Les is very professional, adapts to his audience, shares a great passion for his listeners and challenges them to action. Les understands the importance of his faith, family and the influence he has as a former major league player. He has set the priorities for his life and is doing a great job communicating his message to all of us.
Today was such a wonderful event – the energy in the room was palpable. I have received numerous emails this morning and afternoon complimenting CASA on the breakfast – and everyone mentions how touched they were by your story and your support for our organization. I can’t thank you enough for your heartfelt speech and wonderful endorsement – it made a huge difference today! Thank you so much for all your help and inspiration – I am so glad that CASA brought you into our circle! It has been a true gift.
Les is one of the most effective communicators that I know. He has the ability to take a difficult or complex subject and break it down into practical information that you can not only understand, but, put into practice right away. Les speaks with conviction, compassion and knowledge. He balances his subtle humor with a unique sincerity and as a result, his entire audience will come away from their time with Les extremely motivated and personally challenged.
Your wonderful heartfelt speech really touched me. You have persevered… you are an upstanding and caring person that is a testament to your strong moral character. Thank you for all you do for Kansas City.
The Rotary Club of Eastern Independence (MO) was fortunate to enjoy Les Norman’s presentation recently on a variety of timely and interesting topics, including local youth sports, unique stories from his baseball career, and his perspective about our local major league team. What a hit! If you are interested in a knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging program, Les is your guy.
Les loves to share his life stories, centered around baseball and his family, with audiences of all ages. You will be touched, just as I have been many times, when you hear him speak from his heart.
Les Norman effectively communicates invaluable life skills; unfortunately, Les is an exception rather than the “norm” -no pun intended- when it comes to coaching impressionable young men. What I admire about Les is he is an accomplished Christian athlete who wants to bring out the best in young athletes in a most respectable way – what you see is genuine. He truly leads by living the example, every day, both on and off the field.
As a coach, Les is a great fit for boys and girls of any age at teaching the game of baseball. As a person he is an even better coach at teaching the game of life. After a day with Les, your skills will be better than the day before, and I’m not just talking about baseball.
I have worked with Les Norman for years and have enjoyed getting to know him. It’s not very often you can call someone a friend in business…. but count me among the fortunate few to say that about Les. His passion for life extends into his work and he always strives to push himself to be better. Les is enthusiastic, motivating and an extremely positive person. It’s important to me to surround myself with people who have positive energy and I consider Les to be that kind of person.
