Dave Laketa And Richard Taite
For 59 years, renowned college baseball coach Gordie Gillespie invested in the lives of thousands of young athletes. As a one-time, all-time winningest coach in all college levels, he would bring out the best in his athletes, all the while diverting any attention he would receive to life lessons for others. As an angry, misdirected 18 yr. old, my college career at the College of St. Francis began with a selfish attitude and love for self; four years later, and thanks to Coach Gillespie, I would enter the pro ranks with a strong moral compass and the skills it would take to be a good husband and father, and more importantly, what it meant to be a godly man.
I’ll be joined by former CSF football teammate and current Director of Athletics, Dave Laketa. Dave will share his fondest memories of one of the greatest coaches and men to walk the planet!
Also on the show, CEO & Founder of Cliffside Malibu Treatment Center, Richard Taite. Richard talks Josh Hamilton and his recent relapse into cocaine and alcohol use. What lies in the future for Hamilton? Should he step away from the game? What should new Commissioner Manfred do to help him, and the game? Find out on Breakin’ the Norm!!
